Annual dues and generous contributions from our shipmates provide the funds necessary to publish our web site www.ussedistoagb2.com and help defray the cost of continuing the search for lost or missing shipmates. Over 3200 have been identified as having sailed onboard the USS Edisto between the years 1947-1965 and two-thirds have been accounted for. Gene Fettinger, our Membership Chairman, has done an outstanding job of locating shipmates and will continue the hunt for the approximately 1,100 sailors whose whereabouts are unknown.
Your membership buys you a Vote in the Association’s affairs, a Membership Card, a Certificate and a CD that contains a personnel roster and membership entitles you to take advantage of a plethora of Photos, Cruise Books and other memorabilia at minimal cost.
As a member, you join a Florida-registered, IRS-approved tax exempt non-profit corporation that was established to foster fellowship among shipmates, their widows and/or surviving children, to promote public awareness of Icebreakers, the USS Edisto and sister ships and to further the exploration of the Arctic and Antarctic oceans.
Please make checks payable to: USS EDISTO ASSOCIATION
